Rack & Save installed a Superblock mezzanine floor with steel grating to give the client additional storage space above the lower shelving bays.
01 / 8B ADMIRALTY STREET · SUPERBLOCK MEZZANINE

At 8B Admiralty Street, Singapore, Rack & Save completed a Superblock storage mezzanine for a light-industrial unit. The client wanted to make better use of the available height and accommodate more stock within the premises.
The installation uses steel-grating decking, supporting steelwork and shelving on both levels. The project photographs show the upper storage area, deck connections and open-fronted rack bays beneath the platform.
For a business planning a similar layout, the starting point is the size and weight of its stock, available clearances and the routes staff use to retrieve goods. These details help establish a suitable platform footprint and storage arrangement.
Upper-level shelving provides defined locations for stored items. The grating aisle connects the shelving bays, allowing the raised floor to function as an organised storage level.
Below the deck, the supporting frame is coordinated with the lower rack bays. Looking at both levels together helps identify where columns can stand and where access needs to remain clear.
A new installation needs its own review of stock loads, shelving positions, building conditions and access. The photographs provide a practical reference for discussing how the available unit could be arranged.

From above, the grating can be seen following the sides of the column beside the upper shelving.
